I *know* it's only 1 click, but it's Really annoying me!

Yup - annoys the hell out of me too. The problem is, I've absolutely NO idea how it's got on here, or how to turn it off. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to know. I'll look into it, now i know it's not just spyware on my PC, but any suggestions are welcomed!

As to the main post, good idea - I'll sort that once I've sorted the pop-up ad problem.

I'd suggest you double check with whoever is providing the hosting for this forum - it may be something they 'build-in', particularly if they offer free or reduced fee hosting.

Probably find it hidden in the small print somewhere!

I'm not sure if that's the problem actually. Although all my hosting is through ZZ Hosting, I'm actually my own re-seller, and take complete control of all the space on my sites.

The software is installed directly from the Phpbb people, and I can't imagine they've added an ad in there. Maybe it's something lingering from an old version - or maybe just the banner ads I do have on here.

I'll strip out the AdBrite ones when I have a mo - and see if that fixes things.

I don't have a 'mo' till Tuesday though - busy with edits right now, and all spare time is taken up writing this message!!

It seemed I'd cacked the permissions during the upgrade. Let me know if it works now, and/or if there's anthing else that should be added in there.
